The tree cutting company that was hired by utilities is out today removing the last round of hazard trees north of Hood Canal Drive. Please note that this second round of trees is designated for elders’ firewood and is not available to the larger tribal community.
In addition, this is clarification that this is not a new woodcutting area. The trees being harvested were dead or dying and a hazard to utility lines. No tree felling is allowed in this area unless you have been hired through the Tribe. Call Nikki if you have any questions. 360-865-2678
