ADVISORY COMMITTEES OPEN POSITIONS
Tribal Council values the input given by these advisory groups (see attached policy and letter of interest form). These positions will be appointed April 2026 and expire in 2030 (4-year terms). If you are interested, please fill out the Letter of Interest form below, or fill out a hard copy, available at the front desk, and email it back to savannahs@pgst.nsn.us by April 8th, 2026.
Child Protection Team Advisory Committee (5 position)
The Child Protection Advisory Committee makes recommendations on the management and/or resolution of open Indian Child Welfare cases. CPT meets once a month, the first Monday two weeks prior to the civil court date, from 1:30p-3:30pm. Members receive a $100 stipend for each meeting attended. CPT Committee members are bound by federal and Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Laws and regulations regarding issues of confidentiality. All information and sources of information are strictly confidential.
Parks and Roads Committee (2 positions)
Parks and Roads Committee advises staff and Tribal Council on management of tribal roads and parks. Committee members receive a $100 stipend for each meeting attended. The committee meets every other month in the fall and winter, and monthly in spring and summer.
Lot Committee (2 position)
There are 2 open positions on the Lot Advisory Committee. They meet typically every other month or on a monthly basis as needed. All committee members in attendance receive a $100 stipend per meeting. The positions will be appointed in April 2026 and will expire in March 2030.
Hunting Committee (2 position)
Hunting Committee advises Tribal Council on hunting code provisions and makes recommendations on hunting regulations. Committee members receive a $100 stipend for each meeting attended. The Committee meets once per month.
