BRUSH DUMPING

Many of you may have noticed the gate by the skate park has been locked. The Tribe is no longer allowing brush pile/yard waste dumping. Why? Brush piles are fire hazards during the dry season and spread invasive species. The Tribe spends a considerable amount of time and financial resources managing this issue.

Title 05.02.06 of the Criminal code-UNLAWFUL DUMPING states “Any person who leaves refuse, construction debris, garbage, or any other discards at any place other than designated garbage disposal sites on the Port Gamble S’Klallam Reservation without authorization from the Tribal Council shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor 2.

The list below includes local businesses that properly dispose of brush. Please call Nikki if you have any questions, 360-865-2678.
