PGST Elders Trip to Talking Stick Resort
Scottsdale, Arizona
September 29, 2024, to October 3, 2024.
Our trip is two weeks away!
We are staying at the Talking Stick Resort in Arizona.
- We leave on September 29th at 11:48 AM on Alaska Airlines and arrive in Phoenix at 2:42PM.
- We are returning on October 3rd at 2:30PM on Alaska Airlines and arrive in Seattle at 5:40 PM.
Flight numbers and have confirmation codes will be sent out to you next week.
- For elders riding the shuttle to the airport, we will have your boarding passes printed out
- For elders transporting themselves to the airport, we will send your confirmation and ticket numbers
For your per diem and return of your deposit
- Elders with direct deposit through the Tribe will receive the per diem and return of your deposit via direct deposit on the Friday, September 27th, before the trip.
- Elders without direct deposit, we will have cash for you.
Events happening during our stay:
- On September 30th from 1-3 PM we have reserved the Red Bird Room at the resort to hold a conversation with Tribal Council Members, light refreshments will be served.
- On October 1st from 6-8:30PM we have rented the Imagine 3D Mini Golf Facility, f or our private event (located on Talking Stick Way). Please come play mini-golf or the arcade and have some fun. There will be sign ups and shuttles for you to the event from the hotel.
- On October 2nd we will be taking a bus to the Salt River Pima Tribe to play their elders in chair volleyball and share a meal with them. We will leave the Talking Stick at 7:30 AM and return at 1:30 PM. They are furnishing lunch and there will be snacks and drinks. This activity is optional, but a wonderful chance to see some exciting chair volleyball and interact with the Salt River Pima Elders.
