This afternoon, during a routine check of the gun range, Natural Resources Enforcement discovered a violation related to weapons possession. As the individual in question was a convicted felon and not a tribal member, the case was handed over to the Kitsap County Sherriff’s Office. NRE has issued an emergency exclusion against this individual, who has been transported to the Kitsap County Jail. There are no health or safety issues related to this incident for PGST community members to be concerned about.
PGST’s NRE and Public Safety teams would like to remind community members to call 9-1-1 if they encounter suspicious behavior by any person on the reservation.
