A fish guidance system, its towing vessel, and skiff may be moored at the south end of Port Gamble Bay from April through May. This structure may be towed in and out of the Bay every other week and installed on the southeast end of the Hood Canal Bridge. It is expected to make its first appearance in the Bay by 8 pm on March 30.
Research indicates that the Bridge acts as a fish barrier. The fish guidance system acts to temporarily modify the Bridge in an effort to improve fish survival. PGST has been a partner in this research effort for 10 years.
Please DO NOT raft up to the fish guidance system or any associated vessels.
