School Clothes Assistance 2026

The first day of school for North Kitsap School District will be Monday August 31, 2026.

School Clothes assistance applications will be available Monday August 3, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the front desk of the Tribal center or on the PGST website, members only section. The deadline for applications is Monday August 24, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. PST. No exceptions will be made.

Eligibility: Must be enrolled in the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe AND enrolled in an education program. (Kindergarten through 12^th grade). 1 per student. If you co-parent, it is your responsibility to communicate who will apply. Please remember, this assistance is for the child.

Note: There will NOT be a backpack distribution this year. Instead, each eligible enrolled student will receive $100.00 to purchase their backpack and school supplies. This is in addition to the school clothes assistance. School clothes assistance benefit amount will be as follows:

K-3^rd grade $300.00 for school clothes + $100.00 for a backpack & school supplies total $400.00

4^th-5^th grade $350.00 for school clothes + $100.00 for a backpack & school supplies total $450.00

6^th-8^th grade $400.00 for school clothes + $100.00 for a backpack & school supplies total $500.00

9^th-12^th grade $450.00 for school clothes + $100.00 for a backpack & school supplies total $550.00

Check mailing dates: Your assistance payment will be mailed or directly deposited. Depending on when you submit your application, checks will be mailed on the following dates:

Checks will no longer be handed out by Accounting. Checks will be mailed to the address on file with Enrollment. It is your responsibility to keep your address up to date with Enrollment clerk Jordan DeCoteau (360)297-6217.
