The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe is seeking a Contract News and Archives Reporter to help document significant PGST events and capture stories that highlight our people, culture, sports, and community throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Attend and record PGST events, including evenings and weekends.
- Conduct interviews and capture video, photos, and audio.
- Edit video and photography content using professional software.
- Develop written summaries and articles for PGST publications.
- Prepare archival‑ready documentation for long‑term Tribal records.
- Travel locally to event locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a member of or from the PGST Community.
- Prior experience in:
- Videography
- Photography
- Interviewing
- Video editing
- Proficiency in recording and editing software.
- Ability to work independently, reliably, and with cultural sensitivity.
Compensation
Rate of pay will be negotiated upon selection.
