Child & Family Services: Tribal Family Assistance

Tribal Family Assistance provides collaborative services to the benefit and safety of Tribal families and community members. These services are provided to protect children and Elders; maintain the dignity and independence of our clients; and preserve the culture, values, and traditions of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe.

Programs/services offered:

  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), which provides cash assistance for very low-income families and self-sufficiency
  • LIHEAP (Power Assistance) and LIHWAP (Water Assistance) for Kitsap County PGST residents only
  • S’Klallam Food Bank providing food assistance PGST families. Available for porch pick-up or on-reservation households can request delivery.
  • Emergency food vouchers
