As a part of a grant awarded to educate on Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), PGST’s Career & Education department is planning three workshops to help the community navigate and better understand this developing technology:
- Family AI Feast (Thursday, October 17; 5-7 pm in the Tribal Kitchen): Learn the good and bad about how AI is used in schools, and how AI can be used to help you with home budgeting, meal planning, time management, and more! Dinner will be provided.
- Tech It Out: AI in Action (Saturday, November 8; 10 am -Noon in the PGST Longhouse): Learn how AI in evolving all our lives, including exploring hands-on opportunities, see AI-powered robots in action, learn how companies use AI to improve work, discover tools that help students in school, and see how AI is already a part of daily life. During the event, meet local tech innovators.
- Elders’ Tech Workshop (Thursday, November 13; 11 am.- 2 pm in the Elders’ Center): Enjoy lunch and take a virtual field trip while learning about AI and virtual reality.
All events are free and the community events are open to all and include giveaways.
