Over the past year, the team at Heronswood and the Port Gamble S’Klallam Foundation have been working on plans for the future of the Garden.
A major idea being explored is a new event center that would be able to host weddings and other revenue-generating gatherings. In addition, an event center at Heronswood would provide indoor space for classes, cultural events, social events, community activities, and would be able to support a wide range of programs year-round.
They are working with local firm Rice Fergus Miller on a feasibility study and the early results are very positive! As a part of this process, they want to hear from the PGST community what features you would most value in a space like this.
